April Fun

This month, the library is bursting with fun and excitement! Be sure to stop in and grab a poem in your pocket and a poetry bookmark for National Poetry Month. Help us celebrate National Library Week April 7-13 by visiting our Library Week Book Sale, registering for door prizes, and grabbing a complimentary water bottle/laptop sticker to show your love of libraries!

On April 16, 2024, we are partnering with the City Book Club to host Nebraska Humanities speakers, Kevin and Charlotte Endorf, who will be presenting No Time on My Hands: The Story of Grace Snyder. Our team is thrilled to be hosting this event. Bringing speakers like the Endorfs to our town is a real highlight for us because it’s all about sharing great stories and connecting with our community. Grace Snyder’s story is truly remarkable, showcasing the power of resilience and determination. By hosting events like this, we’re not just providing entertainment; we’re creating opportunities for all of us to come together, learn, and feel inspired. So, make sure to swing by Valentine Public Library for a relaxed afternoon of storytelling and good company.

All month long, we’ll have a variety of engaging activities and creation stations planned for our patrons of all ages! Learn more about them on our events page. Whether you have a particular event in mind or are just dropping by, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this April at the Library.
